iPhone 6s And iPhone 6s Plus Photo Quality Problems in Low Light

The 12MP rear camera in the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are known to work well in good lighting conditions. The problem arises when the camera is used for low light photography. Many people are tracing the root of the problem to be the Live photos feature which is switched on by default on your device.

Solution: Switch Off Live Photos

If you do not need Live Photos then switch it off and you will notice a significant improvement when capturing photos in low light.

  • Tap on the camera app
  • Look for the sun like image on the app located in the center with the other icons
  • Tap on it so that it is white

When the icon is yellow it means that live photos is on, when it is white, it means that you’ve switched it off. Take pictures in low light after turning it off and notice the difference.
